SwarmFarm Robotics, an agtech startup based in Queensland, has raised AU$30 million (US$19.81 million) in series B funding to boost production of its autonomous SwarmBots and expand into North America.

The round was led by Edaphon, a European agtech investor, with contributions from Clean Energy Finance Corporation, QIC, and Artesian Capital.

The company plans to use the new funding to increase manufacturing in Toowoomba, hire more staff, and enter the North American market.

Clean Energy Finance Corporation invested US$7 million through its Powering Australia Technology Fund.

Founded in 2012 by Queensland farmers Andrew and Jocie Bate, SwarmFarm builds self-driving robots for agricultural use.

SwarmFarm previously raised US$12 million in series A funding in 2023, US$4.5 million in 2020, and received an US$856,000 grant from the Northern Australia Development Program in 2022.
