AT&T plans to sell $4b in investment-grade bonds
AT&T plans to raise at least US$4 billion by issuing investment-grade bonds, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The US telecommunications company is expected to offer the debt in up to four tranches, with the longest, a 29-year note, potentially yielding about 1.3% points above US Treasuries.
AT&T may use the funds for general corporate purposes, such as refinancing debt and financing acquisitions.
