Atome secures $345m syndicated debt for SEA growth
Atome has secured a US$345 million syndicated debt facility in Southeast Asia, up from US$200 million in 2024.
HSBC acted as structuring bank and mandated lead arranger and bookrunner (MLAB), with DBS also as MLAB, joined by SMBC Singapore branch, Baiduri Bank, Cathay United Bank, Fubon Bank, and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank.
Atome Financial, a major Southeast Asian digital finance platform offering BNPL, cards, savings, insurance, and lending, will use the funds to expand products including the Atome (Pay Later Anywhere) Card in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The company reported a 63% year-on-year rise in operating income to US$236 million for FY2024, and processed over US$2 billion in GMV, up 50% year-on-year.
Atome is part of Advance Intelligence Group, backed by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Warburg Pincus, Northstar, and EDBI.
