ASML lifts 2026 outlook again on AI chip demand
ASML, a Dutch maker of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, raised its 2026 outlook on July 15 for the second time this year as customers kept expanding capacity for AI chip production.
The company now expects full-year sales of 43 billion to 45 billion euros (US$51.4 billion), up from its earlier forecast of 36 billion to 40 billion euros (US$45.7 billion).
It also raised its gross margin outlook to 54% to 56% from 51% to 53%.
The stronger outlook reflects continued demand for ASML’s extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines, used to make the most advanced chips.
ASML is the world’s only supplier of those systems.
Demand from leading chipmakers also remained strong.
TSMC reported a 68% rise in June revenue, and the chipmaker is planning two advanced chip-packaging plants in southern Taiwan.
ASML still faces tighter export controls.
It has never exported EUV machines to China, and in January it said China would account for about 20% of 2026 sales, down from 33% in 2025.
