UK-based Arm Holdings is laying off more than 70 software engineers in China amid a global downturn in the semiconductor industry, Bloomberg reported.

The company will reportedly move some of these roles out of China, while about 15 staff members will be offered alternative jobs.

Contract software engineers currently occupy the positions that are slated for termination.
