Apple supplier Lingyi targets $1.1b in Hong Kong IPO

Lingyi iTech, a Shenzhen-listed electronic components maker based in Jiangmen, Guangdong, plans to raise up to HK$8.3 billion (US$1.06 billion) in a Hong Kong initial public offering as it expands into AI servers, smart glasses, and robotics.

A filing showed that Lingyi is offering 811.8 million shares at up to HK$10.18 (US$1.3) each and is expected to debut in Hong Kong on June 26.

GF Fund, Sunny Optical Capital, and Honor are cornerstone investors.

The deal comes as Hong Kong’s IPO market has rebounded.

Forty-two main-board offerings raised HK$107 billion (US$13.6 billion) in the first half of 2025, with mainland China A-share dual listings contributing about 72% of proceeds.

Lingyi’s robotics push builds on cooperation with AgiBot, a Chinese robot maker, that began in 2023 and later developed into a joint venture, according to company statements.

Lingyi said it acquired an 80% stake in the joint venture with AgiBot in September, opened a robotics factory in Beijing earlier this month.

The company also assembled humanoid robots or supplied their components for 5,000 units by the end of November.

The move also fits a wider shift as Chinese electronics suppliers pivot from smartphone components to humanoid robots and other AI hardware.
