Apple has said that it has never sold Siri data or used it for marketing purposes in response to a US$95 million settlement from a class-action lawsuit.

The lawsuit claimed Apple recorded private conversations inadvertently activated by Siri and shared this information with third parties, including advertisers.

As part of the settlement, Apple denied the allegations and did not admit any wrongdoing.

Customers with Siri-enabled devices, like iPhones and Apple Watches, may receive up to US$20 per device as part of the settlement agreement.
