Apple says App Store ecosystem drove $1.4t in sales

Apple said its App Store ecosystem facilitated more than US$1.4 trillion in developer billings and sales in 2025, up from US$1.3 trillion in 2024.

Economists at Analysis Group estimated the total, which does not reflect Apple’s own App Store revenue.

Apple said the figure includes app-related commerce beyond in-app purchases.

The total include US$1.1 trillion in physical goods and services, US$149 billion in digital goods and services, and US$151 billion in in-app advertising revenue.

More than 90% of the total did not generate commissions for Apple.

Using the same breakdown, 2025 included more than US$1 trillion in physical goods and services, US$131 billion in digital goods and services, and US$150 billion in in-app advertising revenue.

Apple also said average weekly App Store users rose from 813 million to more than 850 million across 175 countries and regions.
