Apple to restore TikTok to US app store

Apple Inc. will restore TikTok, owned by ByteDance Ltd., on the US App Store on Feb.13.

This decision follows a letter from US Attorney General Pam Bondi.

TikTok was previously removed from both Apple and Google platforms to comply with legislation enacted last year.

However, a Jan. 20 executive order issued by former President Donald Trump directed the attorney general to pause enforcement of the law for 75 days to review the situation.

Apple has confirmed that TikTok will be available for download again starting Feb.13 evening.
