Apple has paused development of a revamped Vision Pro headset to shift focus toward smart glasses that could rival Meta’s products.

The company is said to be working on at least two types of smart glasses, including a model that pairs with an iPhone and lacks its own display, and another with a display.

The first model may be unveiled as soon as next year, with a release planned for 2027, while the display-equipped version is being fast-tracked.

Apple’s glasses are expected to rely on voice interaction and AI, and may include features like speakers, cameras, and voice controls.
