Apple design head to leave for Meta
Alan Dye, who has led Apple’s UI design team since 2015, will leave the company to become Meta’s chief design officer on December 31, 2025.
At Meta, Dye will oversee design for hardware, software, and AI integration, and report to CTO Andrew Bosworth.
Apple said designer Steve Lemay will replace Dye as head of UI design.
Lemay has been involved in designing Apple’s major interfaces since 1999.
