Apple has developed an internal iPhone app, code-named Veritas, to test a major Siri update expected in 2026, Bloomberg reported.

The app lets Apple’s AI division evaluate new Siri features like searching personal data and performing in-app actions.

Veritas is not planned for public release and is only used to speed up internal testing.

The new Siri, now targeted for launch as early as March, has faced delays due to engineering challenges.

Apple is using large language models, combining its own technology with third-party models, and has reportedly discussed partnerships with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

It is also working on AI-powered updates for other devices, including HomePod and Apple TV.
