Apple said at its Worldwide Developers Conference that App Store developers will be able to create subscription Bundles and Suites for auto-renewable subscriptions across multiple apps, extending bundling beyond a developer’s own apps.

In Apple’s developer materials, subscription Bundles let users buy access to multiple subscriptions as a single subscription through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Suites package subscriptions that aren’t available standalone.

The change expands Apple’s App Bundles feature, which the company said can group up to 10 of “your apps” in one bundle, suggesting the older format was limited to apps under one developer account.

Apple said more details on how developers can request the Bundle and Suite features will come later this summer. The company has not yet published specific rules on discounts, commissions, or revenue sharing for the new subscription formats.
