Antler-backed Indian space startup InspeCity raises $10.5m

InspeCity, an India-based space technology startup that develops in-orbit satellite servicing, mobility, and satellite life-extension systems, said it raised 1 billion rupees, or about US$10.5 million, in a pre-series A round led by Speciale Invest and Ashish Kacholia.

Antler Elevate, Antler India, Manish Gandhi, Shastra VC, and others also participated.

InspeCity said the funding will support four planned in-orbit missions over the next 12 to 18 months.

The company plans to complete flight qualification for its propulsion, sensing, autonomous operations technologies.

It will also qualify its robotics, docking, and refueling technologies while expanding its engineering, manufacturing, and mission execution capacity.

The round follows a US$5.6 million seed financing. Antler had also previously backed the company.
