Anthropic said on May 29 that it raised US$65 billion in series H funding at a US$965 billion post-money valuation, according to a company blog post.

The AI company did not name investors or give more details about the financing in the materials reviewed.

Its previous round was a US$30 billion series G that valued Anthropic at US$380 billion post-money.

Anthropic said that round was led by GIC and Coatue, and included a portion of previously announced investments from Microsoft and Nvidia.

Anthropic has previously said its Claude model is available through Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

For comparison, OpenAI recently announced US$122 billion in committed capital at a US$852 billion valuation.

Anthropic’s ties to tech partners have also drawn regulatory attention. The UK competition authority later concluded that Amazon’s investment could not be investigated under current merger rules.
