Anthropic to open Seoul office

Anthropic, a US AI company known for its Claude language model, is establishing a Seoul office to focus on enterprise sales in South Korea.

The company is hiring five roles in Seoul, including positions in sales, finance, and strategy, to support business development and corporate adoption.

Anthropic appointed a legal team member as a director of its Korean entity and is recruiting a country manager, with the office expected to open once leadership is in place.

South Korea ranks seventh globally in Claude AI usage intensity, according to Anthropic’s January 2026 Economic Index, highlighting its significance in the AI market.

The company’s recent product, Claude Cowork, enables nontechnical employees to automate workflows through conversation, prompting regulatory discussions in Korea’s National Assembly.
