Anthropic to invest $100m in AI engineer academy

Anthropic said on October 2 that it would invest US$100 million in the Claude Frontier Academy, a training program for AI engineers.

The US-based startup, which develops AI models, said the academy aims to train 10,000 “frontier deployed engineers” from companies in its Claude Partner Network by the end of 2027.

The first groups include engineers from Accenture, Morgan Stanley, and Novo Nordisk.

Anthropic said the program starts with a simulated enterprise deployment and a graded assessment, followed by a residency. The first engineers are expected to be certified in early 2027.

The academy builds on Anthropic’s enterprise work with Accenture, whose partnership already focuses on deployment. Their joint efforts also work on embedded evaluation for customers.

Anthropic generated nearly US$4.6 billion in revenue last year and posted an operating loss of more than US$8 billion.
