Anthropic has introduced rupee pricing in India for Claude Pro, Max, and Team subscriptions, letting users pay in local currency instead of with international cards billed in US dollars. UPI remains unavailable.

Claude Pro starts at 1,999 rupees (US$21) a month on annual billing, while higher-tier Max and Team plans are also available with local pricing.

Anthropic’s public model pricing still lists prices in US dollars.

The move comes as Anthropic said India is Claude’s second-largest market. The company also said its India run-rate revenue has doubled since its October 2025 expansion announcement, and its Bengaluru office has opened.
