Anthropic said Claude Fable 5 will become a standard feature of its Max and Team Premium subscriptions from July 20, following weeks of delayed access due to capacity constraints. Usage will be capped at 50% of each plan’s regular limits.

Pro and Team Standard users will not get the model in their base plans, but will retain access through usage credits. Anthropic said it will also provide affected users a one-time US$100 credit.

Anthropic said Fable 5 is its most capable generally available model, aimed at long-running knowledge work and coding tasks.

According to Anthropic’s documentation, Team Standard costs US$25 per user per month, or US$20 per month when billed annually, while Team Premium costs US$125 per user per month, or US$100 per month with annual billing.

The Premium plan offers 6.25 times the per-session usage of the Pro plan. Anthropic’s documentation did not explain how the 50% usage cap is calculated.

Anthropic’s Fable page showed access became unavailable on June 12 and said service was restored on July 1 after a suspension tied to US export controls.
