Philippines-based telecommunications company Globe Telecom plans an initial public offering (IPO) for its e-wallet unit GCash by the end of the year, according to CEO Ernest Cu. GCash, which has over 76 million users, is Globe Fintech Innovations’ flagship payment platform and saw increased use due to the pandemic-driven shift to cashless transactions.
