Ant International, DBS partner for payments, fintech solutions

DBS and Ant International have signed a memorandum of understanding at the Singapore Fintech Festival 2025 to expand their partnership in digital payments and fintech solutions.

Ant International, a payments and fintech firm headquartered in Singapore, and DBS will work together to scale cross-border payments and explore new fintech initiatives for businesses and consumers in the region.

Under the agreement, DBS PayLah! users will be able to scan Alipay+ QR codes for payments at over 150 million merchants in more than 100 markets.

Both companies are also exploring a solution for near-instant remittances from DBS customers to over 1.8 billion accounts on the Alipay+ network, using ISO 20022 standards and the SWIFT network.

The partnership includes plans to support SMEs in digital transformation, with DBS collaborating with Antom and WorldFirst on payment and digitisation solutions.

DBS and Ant International will also continue working on innovations such as tokenised deposits.
