Anker Innovations opens below Hong Kong IPO price
Anker Innovations, a Shenzhen-based consumer electronics company that makes charging devices, smart home products, and audio gear, opened below its Hong Kong offer price on July 2.
At the midday break, its shares were at HK$94.05 (US$12), down 5.31% from the HK$99.32 (US$13) offer price.
The company raised about HK$4.523 billion (US$576 million) in net proceeds from selling 46.6328 million H shares.
Anker said the proceeds will fund channel expansion, supply-chain upgrades, hardware research and development, and branding.
It said the H-share sale would support its global business through Hong Kong’s access to international capital.
Retail investors subscribed 27.57 times the shares available in the public offering, while the international offering was subscribed 10.24 times.
In 2025, Anker’s revenue rose to 30.5 billion yuan (US$4.49 billion), and net profit attributable to shareholders reached 2.5 billion yuan (US$375 million).
The company also said it had identified a potential issue in lithium-ion battery cells from a single supplier and began a voluntary global recall of selected power bank models.
Anker warned that the recalled units pose a higher fire risk and should not be used.
Anker remains heavily reliant on overseas markets, which contributed 96.6% of its 2025 revenue.
