Amazon to spend $3b on Mississippi data center campus

Amazon will invest at least US$3 billion to build a data center campus in Warren County, Mississippi, the company said on November 20.

The project is expected to create about 200 direct jobs at the campus and support over 300 additional full-time equivalent positions in the surrounding community.

Amazon said the new campus will support AI and cloud computing services, and marks the largest private investment in Warren County’s history.

The company had previously announced a US$10 billion data center investment in Madison County, Mississippi, in 2024.

Amazon also committed US$150,000 to a new community fund aimed at supporting local projects in Warren County, including those focused on STEM education.
