Amazon to acquire US AI wearable startup Bee

Amazon has announced plans to acquire Bee, a San Francisco-based startup that makes AI-powered wearable devices.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Bee produces a US$49.99 wristband that uses AI and microphones to analyze conversations and generate summaries, reminders, and to-do lists.

Bee CEO Maria de Lourdes Zollo shared the news on LinkedIn, noting the company will integrate with Amazon.

An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the acquisition but did not share further details.

The move aligns with Amazon’s broader push to expand its AI portfolio, including its Alexa voice assistant, Nova models, and the Bedrock marketplace.
