Amazon is testing a new “Buy for Me” feature in its shopping app, allowing select US customers to buy products from brand websites through Amazon.

Users can search for products in the Amazon app and see results from Amazon, third-party sellers, and select brands under “Shop brand sites directly.”

Delivery, returns, and customer service are handled by the brand stores, while customers receive order updates via the Buy for Me Orders tab in the app.

The feature uses AI models from Amazon Bedrock, including Amazon Nova and Anthropic’s Claude, to streamline transactions.
