Amazon India's head of consumer electronics resigns

Ranjit Babu, the head of consumer electronics at Amazon India, has resigned.

Babu has been with Amazon for over a decade.

In December 2022, Babu assumed additional responsibilities when senior executive Noor Patel moved to Amazon US.

In July 2023, he became the head of consumer electronics, managing major categories such as smartphones.

These exits come as Amazon competes with Flipkart in the ecommerce and quick commerce sectors in India.
