Amazon said it had expanded Amazon Now, its quick-delivery service, to more than 120 cities in India on October 2.

The expansion doubled the service’s footprint in two weeks as Amazon scaled up its delivery network ahead of the festive season.

The service, which launched in India last June, is now available in cities including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Kochi, Bhubaneswar, and Visakhapatnam.

Amazon said orders are fulfilled through nearly 800 micro-fulfilment centers and urban fulfilment centers.

Amazon Now offers tens of thousands of products, including groceries, fruits and vegetables, frozen food, personal care items, fashion and beauty products, small appliances, and home and kitchen goods.
