Amazon Business reaches $60b run rate in Q2
Amazon said Amazon Business, its unit for businesses, schools, and government agencies that buy recurring or bulk orders, reached a US$60 billion annualized gross merchandise sales run rate in the second quarter.
Amazon previously described that metric as gross sales.
The company said the unit now has more than 11 million accounts, with 1.8 million added since the start of 2026.
Customers include the University of California San Diego, Nasdaq Inc, and Amazon’s own operations.
Launched in 2012 as Amazon Supply and rebranded in 2015, Amazon Business has added tools such as custom quotes and bulk delivery to attract larger organizations.
Amazon has not disclosed the segment’s profitability.
For context, Amazon reported US$716.9 billion in consolidated net sales for 2025.
The US International Trade Administration estimates global business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce could reach US$36 trillion by 2026.
Fastenal’s trailing 12-month revenue was US$8.44 billion, though those figures are not directly comparable to Amazon Business’s gross sales run rate.
