Alphabet’s VC arm leads data platform provider’s $100m series D

San Francisco-based data platform provider Redpanda has raised US$100 million in its series D funding round. The round was led by Alphabet’s investment arm, GV, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners.

This increases the company’s total funding to US$265 million, bringing its valuation to US$1 billion.

The funds will be used to enhance Redpanda’s data platform, focusing on real-time data integration and processing for enterprise applications, including AI.

The company also introduced an agentic AI service to support multi-agent systems with traceability and data governance.

Redpanda supports over 300 data connectors and offers low-latency performance. Clients include Activision Blizzard, Cisco, Moody’s, Texas Instruments, and Vodafone.
