Shares of Alphabet rose over 2% to close at US$322.03, while Apple’s shares fell more than 4% in the past five days.

The change comes as Alphabet made advances in AI, introducing its Ironwood AI chip in November and the Gemini 3 model in December.

Alphabet’s stock surged 65% in 2025, its strongest annual performance since 2009.
