Alibaba’s new AI model climbs coding rankings
Alibaba, the China-based ecommerce and cloud computing company, said its Qwen3.7-Max ranked fourth on Code Arena’s latest coding leaderboard with a score of 1,541.
Code Arena, previously called WebDev Arena, uses blind votes on anonymized model outputs to compare how well AI systems build web applications from user prompts. Its rankings are based on head-to-head results.
The benchmark has expanded from simple HyperText Markup Language pages and front-end components to multi-file React apps, dashboards, browser games, and other product-style software tasks.
Alibaba has linked Qwen’s coding capabilities to developer tools through its open-source terminal agent Qwen Code, which can use application programming interfaces from Alibaba Cloud ModelStudio and integrate with integrated development environments, continuous integration/continuous delivery workflows, and HyperText Transfer Protocol services.
Alibaba has connected Qwen’s coding capabilities to developer tools through its open-source terminal agent, Qwen Code.
The tool can access APIs from Alibaba Cloud ModelStudio and integrate with development environments, CI/CD workflows, and HTTP services.
That focus aligns with a broader trend. Coding and software development agents are growing fastest among AI agent roles in one market report.
