Alibaba integrates Nvidia’s AI software into its cloud platform

Alibaba is adding Nvidia’s AI development tools to its cloud platform, allowing users to access Nvidia’s Physical AI software stack for projects like robotics and autonomous vehicles.

Alibaba, based in Hangzhou, is among China’s major cloud service providers, while Nvidia is a US-based chip designer known for its AI hardware and software.

The integration was announced at Alibaba’s annual Apsara developer conference in Hangzhou.

Alibaba Cloud said the new offering will be part of its Platform for AI, expanding options for developers.

The move follows CEO Eddie Wu’s announcement to increase investment in AI infrastructure beyond the previously stated 380 billion yuan (US$53 billion).
