Alibaba Cloud to launch new data centers in eight countries

Alibaba Cloud announced plans to open its first data centers in Brazil, France, and the Netherlands, with further expansion to Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Dubai planned for next year.

The company, which is the cloud computing arm of China-based Alibaba Group, made the announcement at its annual Apsara Conference 2025.

Alibaba Cloud will also set up new regional service centers in Indonesia and Germany to support customers in those areas.

The company currently operates 91 availability zones across 29 regions worldwide.

As part of its ecosystem push, Alibaba Cloud launched the AI Catalyst Program to provide select global AI companies with access to AI tools and up to US$120,000 in cloud credits.
