Alibaba Cloud said at its Apsara Conference in Hangzhou on September 23 that it plans to open its first cloud regions in Türkiye, Finland, and the Netherlands in the next 12 months to support enterprise AI demand.

Alibaba’s cloud computing arm also plans to expand its data center presence in Malaysia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, France, and Hong Kong.

Alibaba Cloud said it now operates 107 availability zones across 31 regions worldwide.

At the conference, Alibaba Cloud launched Smart Studio, Smart Fusion, and Smart Video. The company said the products are designed to help businesses build dedicated model-as-a-service platforms, manage multi-model workloads, and create AI-generated videos.

Alibaba Cloud also said it is working with Panasonic Digital, Unity China, Lion Parcel, Loomi Entertainment Group, SHAKE, and AnyMind Group on AI-related projects.
