AirTrunk, a Blackstone-owned data center operator, is seeking a US$1.7 billion green loan to build a new 80.2-megawatt data center in Singapore, sources said.

The project will develop an 80.2-megawatt data center, operating under long-term contracts until Dec. 31, 2050.

The campus is being built for a major US client, with AirTrunk expected to lease back some of the allocated power, the sources reported.

Blackstone declined to comment on the project.
