Airbnb, a US-based travel and accommodation platform, has expanded its agreement with OpenAI, the company said on September 23.

The deal gives Airbnb’s engineering and product teams broader access to models including GPT-6 Astra through OpenAI application programming interfaces and Amazon Bedrock.

OpenAI said Airbnb already uses Codex and its models for software development and remote AI agents.

Airbnb also uses OpenAI models in search, fraud prevention, guest and host support, and insurance claims.

OpenAI described GPT-6 Astra as a new generation of intelligence and published a system card on deployment safety.

Airbnb’s use of OpenAI application programming interfaces and Bedrock also shows one route for enterprises to access OpenAI frontier models as a managed service on Amazon Web Services.
