AI-powered sockets startup Measurable.energy raises $5.1m

UK-based company Measurable.energy has secured £4 million (more than US$5.1 million) in investment to support its growth in both domestic and international markets.

This funding round was spearheaded by Vertex Exploratory Fund and Clean Growth Fund.

Known for its AI-powered plug sockets, Measurable.energy focuses on reducing electricity costs and carbon emissions.

The company plans to use the investment to accelerate its expansion, particularly in anticipation of a Series B round slated for 2025.

Its technology targets energy waste from idle devices, a key issue in office power consumption.

Additional investment comes from entities like Bonheur ASA/Fred Olsen, The RO Group, Vectr7, and Roger Ferguson, former U.S. Federal Reserve Vice-Chair.
