AI voice startup Hyper raises $6.3m to automate 911 calls

Hyper, a startup focused on enhancing emergency response systems, has raised US$6.3 million in a seed funding round.

This investment, led by Eniac Ventures, marks the company’s exit from stealth mode.

Founded by Ben Sanders and Damian McCabe, Hyper aims to reduce the number of non-emergency calls made to 911 systems.

Sanders noted that many calls to 911 are not emergencies. This can divert resources and delay responses to critical situations.

The funding round included participation from Ripple Ventures, GreatPoint Ventures, VSC Ventures, Tusk Venture Partners, and K5 Global.

The company plans to use the funds to expand its operations across the US.

It will also integrate with existing 911 systems, hire a head of engineering, and develop its next product.
