US AI startup Infinity raises $15m to cut Nvidia reliance
US artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure startup Infinity has raised US$15 million in funding at a US$100 million valuation from investors including Touring Capital, Principal VC, and researchers from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Founded in 2025 by former Google Brain researcher Jeremy Nixon, the company develops software that generates and optimizes low-level code, allowing AI models to run on chips beyond Nvidia’s ecosystem.
Infinity said d-Matrix, a US startup that develops inference chips for data centers, is among its customers. The chipmaker recently said its Corsair platform had entered full production.
Rather than charging upfront licensing fees, Infinity said its pricing is tied to measured performance improvements and customer cost savings. The company’s 26-person team also keeps engineers involved to oversee the system.
The funding comes as software for non-Nvidia hardware draws more attention, and as hyperscalers and AI labs look for ways to cut inference costs and reduce reliance on graphics processing unit-only systems.
