🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Mixed reality represents a significant shift in digital marketing engagement strategies
Flam’s platform exemplifies a broader industry trend toward interactive, frictionless mixed reality experiences that don’t require app downloads or redirects, a significant advantage in a market where consumer attention is increasingly fragmented.
The company has demonstrated real-world traction with over 100 major brands, including Google, Samsung, and Emirates, adopting their technology for enhanced consumer engagement 1.
This movement toward mixed reality marketing is gaining momentum as brands seek measurable results, with Flam’s CEO Shourya Agarwal predicting it will become standard practice for forward-thinking companies 2.
The timing aligns with industry forecasts showing mixed reality as one of the five key AI advancements expected to reshape industries by 2025, specifically in creating hyper-personalized experiences and transforming how consumers interact with brands 3.
For marketers, the ability to deliver immersive experiences with latency under 300 milliseconds directly to consumers represents a significant advantage over traditional digital formats that struggle with declining engagement metrics.
2️⃣ AI infrastructure startups are securing significant funding despite tightened Series A requirements
Flam’s $14 million Series A comes at a time when funding criteria have become substantially more stringent, with the median Series A company now needing to demonstrate $2.5 million in annual revenue, 75% higher than requirements in 2021 4.
