US AI security startup Hakimo nets $10.5m led by Vertex Ventures
Hakimo, a California-based startup focused on AI-powered physical security monitoring, has completed a US$10.5 million series A funding round.
The round was led by Vertex Ventures and Zigg Capital, with participation from RXR Arden Digital Ventures and existing investors Defy.vc and Gokul Rajaram.
This latest funding brings Hakimo’s total capital raised to US$20.5 million.
The company plans to allocate these funds to enhance its AI-driven security solutions.
Founded in 2020 by engineers Sam Joseph and Sagar Honnungar, Hakimo intends to address issues in the security industry. These include staffing shortages and false alarms.
