AI-related jobs in Singapore pay at least 32% more: PwC

PwC Singapore said on 15 June that AI-related jobs in Singapore had wage premiums of at least 32% across sectors in 2025.

The finding was based on its analysis of about 1.6 million job postings from January to December 2025.

Government and public sector jobs showed the highest premium at 107%, followed by consumer markets jobs at 96%.

The technology, media, and telecommunications sector made up 18.9% of postings. Government and public sectors roles made up 13.5%, while financial services at 12.2%.

PwC said about 897,000 postings were for occupations with higher AI exposure. These roles are more likely to be affected, augmented, or reshaped by AI. It also said 82% of AI-related postings were for AI user roles rather than AI developer roles.

The firm also found a positive correlation of 0.30, on a scale from zero to +1, between AI exposure in occupations and net skills change.
