Natural, a startup building payment infrastructure for AI agents, has raised US$30 million in a series A round led by Forerunner, bringing its total funding to US$40 million.

Founded in 2025 by Kahlil Lalji, Eric Wang, and Walt Leung, Natural said its infrastructure lets AI agents move and store funds, make payments, collect money, and transact with people and other agents.

Investor Restive described the startup’s beta product as supporting uses such as autonomous invoice payments, contractor payouts, and agent-to-agent micropayments over existing payment rails.

Restive, an earlier backer, said Lalji and Wang had previously founded another Restive-backed company, and that Natural’s founding team had worked with financial institutions.

Natural is entering a market where Stripe has launched spending tools for AI agents and introduced an open protocol for commerce between AI agents, while Natural plans to support both stablecoins and traditional bank payments.
