PlayerZero, a US-based startup focused on AI-powered software quality assurance, has raised US$ 15 million in a series A round led by Foundation Capital.

The company builds AI agents designed to identify and fix bugs in code before it is released into production.

This funding follows a previous US$ 5 million seed round from investors including Green Bay Ventures and angels such as Matei Zaharia, Dropbox CEO Drew Houston, Figma CEO Dylan Field, and Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch.

PlayerZero was founded by Animesh Koratana, who developed the technology while at Stanford’s DAWN lab.

The platform analyzes an enterprise’s codebase and bug history to detect, diagnose, and address issues automatically.
