US AI firm Nooks secures $500m commitment from General Catalyst

Nooks, a San Francisco-based sales automation startup, said on November 4 that it secured a US$500 million commitment from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund to expand sales and marketing, and support new product launches.

Chief executive Dan Lee said the deal does not give General Catalyst an equity stake.

Instead, the investment firm will share in returns that its capital helps generate. He declined to disclose the terms.

Nooks also formally launched its Revenue Agent Platform on November 4 to handle tasks from first customer contact through renewal.

The company said it has more than 2,000 customers, including Notion, Replit, Glean, and HubSpot.

The financing fits General Catalyst’s broader shift toward flexible funding structures, including non-dilutive financing.
