AI-driven e-signature platform Agree.com nets $7.2m seed funding
Agree.com, a US-based startup offering an AI-driven e-signature platform, has raised US$7.2 million in a seed funding round.
The round was led by Tyler Hogge of Pelion Venture Partners, with contributions from Blank Ventures, angel investor Gokul Rajaram, and other investors.
Founded in February 2024, Agree.com had previously raised US$3 million in a pre-seed round last year.
The platform integrates e-signatures with invoicing and payment processing, generating revenue through transaction fees. It uses AI and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to streamline workflows, auto-detecting and labeling contract fields.
Since its launch in September 2024, Agree.com has attracted over 25,000 users, including businesses like Beehiv and Product Hunt.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Digital signature market is growing explosively with room for innovation
The digital signature market that Agree.com is entering is on a tremendous growth trajectory, increasing from just $631.5 million in 2016 to a projected $99.65 billion by 2032, representing a compound annual growth rate of over 33%1.
While DocuSign currently dominates, the market is still in its high-growth phase where innovative business models can gain traction, especially those that address cost concerns, which have been identified as adoption barriers2.
By making e-signatures free and monetizing through payment processing, Agree.com is deploying a fintech “gateway” strategy similar to what payment processors like Stripe used to penetrate established markets3.
This approach directly addresses the finding that “at the end of almost every signature, someone has to pay someone money,” a natural integration point that incumbent e-signature providers haven’t fully capitalized on.
The global market has significant headroom, especially as cloud-based solutions (which Agree.com appears to be) are gaining traction faster than on-premise alternatives, with research showing they’re preferred for their flexibility and ease of integration4.
2️⃣ Banking and finance remain the strongest verticals for e-signature adoption
Agree.com’s focus on integrating payments with signatures aligns perfectly with market research showing the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance) sector has consistently been the largest adopter of digital signature solutions, accounting for 23% of the market in 20165.
Financial institutions face strong regulatory pressure to digitize processes while maintaining compliance and security, creating sustained demand for solutions that streamline document workflows54.
