AI cybersecurity startup nets $3.4m seed funding

Gambit Cyber, a cybersecurity startup based in the Netherlands, has raised US$3.4 million in a seed round led by Expeditions, with participation from Bitdefender Voyager Ventures.

The company develops KnightGuard, an AI-driven platform that helps organizations identify and address cyber risks.

Gambit Cyber said it will use the new funding to enhance its platform, expand internationally, and form new partnerships.

The firm has also launched a subsidiary in India to support its growth in the region.

KnightGuard is being adopted by early enterprise customers and managed security service providers in financial services, telecom, and critical infrastructure across India, the United Arab Emirates, and Europe.

Gambit Cyber operates with teams and partners in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Australia, and India.

  • It cites early use by enterprises plus Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) in financial services, telecom, critical infrastructure 1. Deployments span India, the UAE, Europe 1, though it withholds customer names or scale.

APAC plus UAE expansion may aid partners, cloud platforms

  • Gambit Cyber opened a fully owned subsidiary in India and is growing across Asia-Pacific plus the UAE 1, which creates room for regional value-added resellers plus systems integrators to pursue partnerships.
  • The company plans partnerships with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), telecom providers, cloud platforms 1.
  • Teams already operate in the UK along with the UAE, Australia, India 1.
