AI cybersecurity startup Harmony secures $3m seed
Harmony Intelligence has raised US$3 million in seed funding, with Airtree leading the round. The funding also includes participation from over 30 investors, including First Row Partners and Eric Ries, CEO of Adept AI.
The funding comes in response to increasing threats from AI-powered cyberattacks.
Reports indicate that more than half of businesses in the US and UK have faced deepfake scams, with 43% of those falling victim.
An incident involved UK engineering firm Arup, where fraudsters used AI deepfake technology to impersonate executives. This resulted in US$25 million in losses.
Harmony has been engaged in cybersecurity testing for advanced AI models through partnerships with international governments and AI safety initiatives.
The company recently shared insights on emerging AI risks with the Australian Senate.
