US AI chip startup Syntiant files for IPO

Syntiant, a US-based semiconductor and software company, filed for a US initial public offering on July 6 as AI-related listings continue amid a wider revival in the US IPO market.

The company plans to list on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol “SYTN,” with Citigroup, BofA Securities, UBS Investment Bank, and Needham & Company among the underwriters.

The filing is part of a string of AI-related IPOs this year and a pickup in new US listings as companies seek to tap growing investor confidence. JP Morgan said in a note that more than US$260 billion of equity issuance is expected this year.
