Emergent, an AI-driven platform that enables users to develop full-stack web and mobile apps, has raised US$70 million in series B funding from Khosla Ventures and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, bringing its total funding to US$100 million within seven months of launch.

The company reports that its annual recurring revenue grew from US$100,000 to US$50 million in this period, with over 5 million users across more than 190 countries.

Emergent’s platform functions as an end-to-end development team, allowing users to build and monetize software quickly.

The funding also marks SoftBank’s return to AI investments in India.
